Lee Grant tanks, British Army Tanks, during Operation Supercharge and the Battle of El Alamein and tanks of the Chindits during the war in Burma. These American tanks were used by the British with either the original US turret or a different British turret. These were name Lee and Grant respectively. An astonishing frenzy of building that included co-opting the car industry meant that the US were able to produce more than 6000 M3s in little more than 15 months. |
